Shane Kersh's View on Invasion of Constitutional Rights

There has been a great deal of debate regarding what federal, state and local governments can mandate that individuals do-or don't do-during this pandemic.  Some government officials are calling for people to be arrested if they are found to be not in compliance with social distancing regulations.  Who the hell gave the Governor of Michigan,Gretchen Esther Whitmer,  the right or authority to  make it illegal for people to go to work?  I'm assuming she is pointing to the Executive Order 2020-59 (COVID-19) which her administration drafted an put in place.  However, this executive order is not in-line with the United States Constitution.

According to an article in USA Today,  Whitmer expanded her order through April 30 and took the requirements of staying home a step further, banning crossing the street to visit with neighbors or driving to see friends, among other things.

USA Today also writes, "Whitmer's new order has been blasted for its inconsistencies, as it allows the sale of lottery tickets at stores larger than 50,000 square feet, but not paint or gardening tools, and lets non-Michigan residents travel to their cottages in the northern part of the state, but not Michigan residents.

"Michigan's typical small business owners obey laws, but they may not notice the progressive agenda being pushed by our radical leftist Governor Whitmer," Rosanne Ponkowski, president of the Michigan Conservative Coalition, said in a news release. Governor Whitmer will put you out of business before allowing mere citizens to be responsible for their own behavior. That is madness."

There was also an incident in Colorado where a man was arrested for playing softball in a public park with his young daughter.  How ludicrous is that?

Just make a quick search on YouTube and it is easy to find video's of cops shutting down church services.  One cop even tells the preacher, "Your constitutional rights have been suspended."  What a load of bullshit.

I had a police officer approach me while in his car and tell me that I couldn't go to my office because I wasn't wearing a mask...Who the fuck tells these people this shit?  I politely told said law enforcement officer that he had no right or authority to tell me what I had to wear or not to wear.  He than ask me show some identification to see if I actually had a right to be on this part of my office parking lot.  In other words, he wanted to "verify my papers" (When the fuck did we start living in Nazi Germany)  However, I was nice and  told him "no thanks" and that he didn't have any reason, right or necessity to see my drivers license.  At that point I simply walked into the building and left him sitting in his car with what I can only imagine would be a box of half eaten donuts and cheap coffee.

A persons constitutional rights can never be suspended.  These rights don't belong to the government to suspend.  The United States Constitution does not grant rights to individuals.  It specifically prohibits the government from infringing upon a persons rights.  The rights of Americans are given as a birthright and shall not be infringed upon by the government.

But that fact seems to be lost on a lot of dumb ass, tyrannical and power-hunger officials during this COVID-19 pandemic.  It's unsettling how many people in position of authority have taken this opportunity to steal peoples freedoms and liberties.  The bottom line is that as American's we have a rule of law in the United States Constitution and that is the law of the land.  As United States citizens we have an obligation and duty to stand up to these assholes and make sure our freedoms are not tread upon.
